In recent years, China's Apple Juice industry is responding to growing global demand, planting more high acid or "high sour" Apple varieties suitable for processing into Juice. China's Apple Juice production expansion is expected to continue as more marketing opportunities develop, prompting ongoing increases in high-sour Juicing Apple plantings. China is expected to export up to 70% of the global total. In 2006/2007, China exported 635,000 MT of AJC, a jump from 1999/2000.
Traditionally the Apple Juice industry is concentrated in US, East Europe and South America. However, China has been able to capture such big market share due toits low production cost.
The improvement in the technological level and product quality of China's Apple Juice Concentrate (AJC) production enterprises had upgraded China's condensed Apple Juice export volume to a large extent. The Export volume for the past years were as follows :

USA consumption is about 300,000 tons per year and China's production of about 700,000 to 800,000 tons is equivalent to 2 or 3 times of USA's requirement. China is continuously opening up new markets in Europe, Russia, Greece, Austria, Australia and Canada. New Lakeside Holdings Limited exported Apple Juice Concentrate (AJC) mostly to trading companies and manufactures which are multi-national corporations in the food and beverage industry.
